How does consigning fine art work?

For the safety of our community and to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, our stores and Luxury Consignment Offices are temporarily closed. You can schedule virtual consignment consultations with our Luxury Managers or valuations with our expert team, or simply ship us your items for consignment. All consignors, including those who book virtual appointments, can ship consignments using our pre-paid shipping labels.

There are two easy ways to consign fine art.

1. Schedule An In-Home Pickup

If you live an area where our White Glove service is available, a Luxury Manager will come to your home, walk you through the process of consigning and arrange for your pieces to be transported to our secure warehouse. Additionally, in the New York and Los Angeles areas, our home & art curators are available by complimentary appointment. Contact to schedule.

 2. Ship To Us For Free

If White Glove service is unavailable in your area, contact us at with pictures of your piece and any additional information you have about it. We will research your piece and estimate a selling price and arrange for pickup by a reputable art shipper.
Once we receive your items, they will be inspected, photographed, valued and published on the site for sale. The whole process usually takes between 5-10 days. You can then track the status of your art piece in My Sales.
